Roisin is currently completing her PGDE in English teaching at The University of Glasgow.
Grades and Achievements
Roisin is a English Literature graduate from The University of Glasgow (1st). Roisin achieve AAABB grades in her Highers (Art, English, French, Geography and Photography). Roisin has worked in roles involving both management and working with children before joining Caledonia Tutors.
Hobbies and Interests
I really love walking and hiking up north – we try to get away as often as possible and camp at Glen Nevis. Me and my partner adopted a staffy named Cleo earlier this year – I enjoy going long country walks with her – she pulls me up the hills! I have a large garden I tend to, and have a passion for cooking, woodwork, and reading. My studies have led me to be particularly interested in climate change and raw materials/industrialisation in literature, and how different environments and ecologies intertwine with human life. I have read a lot of Scottish literature from the 15th century to the present, and like learning about the historical backgrounds of different texts – as well as translating Middle Scots.
Ambitions
My main ambition is to go into teaching and instil an enthusiasm for literature and learning in others.
