Every application is reviewed individually. Suitable candidates are invited to interview and complete further checks before joining our tutor network.
Academic strength is essential, but it is not sufficient on its own. We place significant emphasis on communication, reliability and the ability to work professionally with families.

We assess the academic strength in the subject(s) you wish to teach.

Clarity of explanation and communication style.

Ability to build rapport with pupils while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Readiness to represent Caledonia Tutors in a professional manner.
Who We Work With
The tutors we work with are typically:
- Eligible to work on a self-employed basis in the UK
- Studying or recently graduated in a related degree to the subject(s) they teach
- Have achieved an A at Advanced Higher (or equivalent) in the subject(s) they teach
- High academic achievers, usually on track for or holding a 2:1 degree or above
- Have previous tutoring or teaching experience through schools, tutoring companies or private work
- Confident explaining complex ideas in a calm and accessible way
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working directly with families.
