Ilana is a (MA) Politics & Social and Public Policy graduate from The University of Glasgow (2.1). Ilana achieved AAAAAA grades in her Highers. Ilana achieved awards in Politics and History while at school. She also works with the widening access team at UofG, helping S5/6 pupils gain the essential skills for university.

Hobbies and Interests
My main hobby would be dancing! I’ve danced since I was 2 years old and have been teaching since I was about 15. I have sat exams with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) since I was very young and I am currently working towards getting fully qualified and sitting my final teacher’s exam in the styles freestyle, jazz, tap and cheer pom. My other interests include reading and cooking! I love trying new recipes and cooking for my friends and family.

Ambitions
I plan on going into teaching or social research/policy advising.

I found Caledonia Tutors as my son required additional help with school. We started with the maths Headstart course last summer and it was excellent. At first I was unsure that online lessons would work but it exceeded all expectations. We chose to continue on with the tutor throughout the year as my son’s grades improved and we wanted to keep them that way. Cannot be faulted, highly recommended.

I arranged a a couple of maths lessons for my daughter, at very short notice, who was struggling a little with trigonometry ahead of a test. Her tutor explained things in an extremely easy to understand way and I will not hesitate to use her again down the line if needs be and would encourage anyone in the same boat to do the same.
