Roxy recently graduated Magna Cum Laude in her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of Harvard. She is currently writing a novel before starting her PGDE in English teaching.

Hobbies and Interests
One of my main hobbies is kendo, which is a Japanese sword-based martial art. I started doing kendo in my first year of university, and I’ve stuck with it ever since. Kendo can definitely be grueling for someone as unsporty as me, but the reason I never considered quitting is the martial art’s incredible community. I’ve met some of the kindest, most sincere and most disciplined people through practicing kendo. At the moment, I’ve got a real interest in Japanese fiction. Haruki Murakami, Yukio Mishima, Sayaka Murata… In general, I love reading anything in translation. I find it fascinating how the language a story is written in can change how it’s told.
Ambitions
I am writing a murder mystery book at the moment, so I would love to eventually find a literary agent and publish my work. My ideal future would be to teach English at secondary school level, and to write and publish novels in my spare time.
