Megan is an MEng Mechanical Engineering with Aeronautics undergraduate at The University of Glasgow.

Megan achieved AAAAAA grades in her Highers and AAAA grades in her Advanced Highers (Maths, Physics, Maths of Mechanics and German).

Hobbies and Interests
I love to read, particularly high fantasy with a science-fiction twist. I also enjoy solving puzzles, playing music in my university’s Wind Band, coding, and lots of hot chocolate. I’m interested in all things mathematical, especially when they come with fun problems to come up with and solve through coding. I also love learning about history and, of course, physics—my favourite topics probably being optics and stars.

Ambitions
Currently, I want to stay in academia, learning all I can and researching even more. I hope to improve my abilities in applying science to interesting projects and understand more about the world around us.

I found Caledonia Tutors as my son required additional help with school. We started with the maths Headstart course last summer and it was excellent. At first I was unsure that online lessons would work but it exceeded all expectations. We chose to continue on with the tutor throughout the year as my son’s grades improved and we wanted to keep them that way. Cannot be faulted, highly recommended.

I arranged a a couple of maths lessons for my daughter, at very short notice, who was struggling a little with trigonometry ahead of a test. Her tutor explained things in an extremely easy to understand way and I will not hesitate to use her again down the line if needs be and would encourage anyone in the same boat to do the same.

After failing his prelim in Nat 5 math I reached out to Caledonia Tutors for tutoring for my son and he was matched with Ubaida for weekly tutoring online. Ubaida was brilliant.
