Grades and Achievements
Ubaida achieved AAAAA grades in his Highers and AAA grades in his Advanced Highers (Chemistry, Maths and Physics).Mary Somerville Award – received for obtaining 100% in the Higher Mathematics examination. Institute of Physics: Award for obtaining the equal highest mark nationally in National 5 Physics.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of university, I enjoy staying active a much as possible. I like bouldering (rock climbing without the rope), calisthenics, running and hiking. I also really enjoy playing chess and reading. I’m very interested in things that fly and go into space, like rockets, and I’m part of my university’s rocketry team. I also really like science, especially physics and chemistry, and do a lot of reading on the subject.
Ambitions
Once I graduate university, I aspire towards working in the space technology sector with an organisation like the European Space Agency. I want to be at the forefront of discovery and innovation in the future.
