Anna is a 5th Year Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry (MSci) student at The University of Glasgow (1st).

Grades and Achievements
Anna achieved straight A grades at Higher (Chemistry, Maths, Applications of Maths, Human Biology, Physics, History and English) and Advanced Higher (Maths). Anna was also awarded University of Glasgow School of Chemistry Prize 2025 for Excellent Performance in Organic Chemistry Level 3.

Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy running, swimming and cycling, and have recently combined all three and started triathlon training! I have also recently started learning how to knit, and I am currently in the process of making my first jumper. I am interested in chemistry from a biological perspective. Particularly, how we can gain insight into the different biochemical interactions in the body and harnessing these to create novel strategies to treat disease.

Ambitions
I hope to work in medicinal chemistry, continuing to develop my scientific skills and contribute to research.

Exceptional support for Higher Spanish! We are so pleased with the tutoring our daughter received from Elsie for her Higher Spanish exam. Elsie is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but she was also brilliant at adapting her teaching to suit my daughter’s specific learning style. She made every session engaging and enjoyable, which really helped build my daughter's confidence. Beyond the academics, Elsie was incredibly caring; she messaged after the exam to see how it went and checked in again on results day. She was always reliable, and nothing was ever too much trouble.
