Mary graduated from the University of St. Andrews with a 2:1 in BSc Chemistry with French, with Distinction in Spoken French. Mary achieved AAAAAAA at Higher and AA at Advanced Higher (Chemistry and French).
Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy gardening, caring for my growing houseplant collection, and taking photos outdoors in the park with old cameras. I also love travelling, baking bread (even when it doesn’t turn out quite as planned!) and spending my weekends hillwalking. I’m particularly interested in renewable energy and how new sustainable technologies will change our day-to-day lives. On the other end of the spectrum, I love keeping up with reality TV—it’s my favourite way to unwind.
Ambitions
I want to use my Chemistry and French degree to work in the environmental and charity sectors, specifically helping to develop water and sanitation projects in developing francophone countries. I love tutoring because it lets me help people and make a positive impact within my local community. Through tutoring, I hope to share this passion and inspire the next generation to make a positive change in the world too.
