Matthew is a Physics with Astrophysics (Msci) student at the University of Glasgow.
Grades and Achievements
Matthew achieved straight AAAAA grades at Higher and AAB (Maths, Physics and Chemistry) at Advanced Higher.
Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy going to the gym and playing my guitar aswell as spending time outside on my bike when i can. I love cooking and attempting new dishes even if they dont work out too well! I also love to play chess and go allong to my universitys chess club for some fun, relaxed games. I am particularly interested in space and astrophysics, especially learning about black holes, neutron stars and the origins of the universe. I also enjoy keeping up to date with new scientific discoveries and developments in the physics world through the Institute of Physics (IOP) and how they help us to understand the world.
Ambitions
My ambition is to pursue a career as a space scientist, contributing to our understanding of the universe through research and space exploration. I’m interested in working with space based telescopes to collect and analyse data from distant astrophysical objects, and would love to contribute to future space missions and discoveries.
