Alex is a 2nd Year MA (Hons) English Literature and History undergraduate at The University of Glasgow (2.1).

Grade and Achievements
Alex went through the Scottish school system and achieved 8 Highers (AAAAABBB grades) including an A at Higher English.

Hobbies and Interests

When I’m not at university you’ll probably find me at the piano, convincing myself that those missed lessons in school haven’t caught up! I also love reading, preferably some Austen but I am not against some classical notes! If you couldn’t tell I am fascinated with the past, but especially how people thought, so a little philosophy provides questions to keep things interesting! Again, music and the history surrounding it provide a lot of my reading!

Ambitions

I aim to build a career towards academia, specifically in lecturing or teaching, ideally spending my days discussing ideas and talking to others. Having grown up in an area where learning wasn’t always a priority I am particularly motivated to make myself useful in academic spaces. Sharing what I know and encouraging others to do the same!
