Christopher is an Applied Mathematics (MMath) Undergraduate at The University of St Andrews (1st).
Grades and Achievements
Christopher achieved straight AAAAAA grades at Higher and AAA grades (Maths, Physics and Modern Studies).
Hobbies and Interests
I love spending as much time outdoors as possible, whether it be going for a run, taking my dog for a walk or climbing a Munro with my university’s hillwalking society. When the weather isn’t as nice, though, I enjoy having a cosy night in watching The Traitors or Race Across the World. As an applied maths student, I enjoy learning methods which can translate real-world scenarios into solvable mathematical problems. I’m particularly interested in modelling, numerical techniques and differential equations. I’m also eager to continue developing my mathematical computation skills to allowing me to apply them to increasingly complex challenges.
Ambitions
After completing my degree, I hope to work in an analytical role which allows me to utilise the problem-solving skills I’ve honed throughout my studies. I would like to work with a variety of mathematical and computational techniques to analyse complex data in meaningful ways. Away from maths, I’d love to spend more time in other continents to experience different cultures and scenery.
