Eddie is a 2nd Year Molecular and Celluar Biology undergraduate at The University of Glasgow (1st).

Grades and Achievements
Eddie achieved straight A grades at Higher and Advanced Higher Biology.

Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy playing guitar and bass guitar, having done so for over 7 years. I also like going on walks and exploring new places along the way. I enjoy reading classic novels and plays, and my favourite author is Oscar Wilde. I’m interested in how genetics and molecular biology techniques can be used in forensic science, and enjoy keeping up to date with current research in this area. I also have a particular interest in the evolutionary history of cells, as well as mitochondrial biology and it’s impact on health and ageing.

Ambitions
I aim to work in a role where I can continue to develop and use my scientific communication skills, such as teaching, as I enjoy spreading my knowledge and passion for biology to others. I would also love the opportunity to work in forensic science in the future.
