Kat is an MLitt, Playwriting and Dramaturgy candidate at The University of Glasgow, 2025-2026 (1st Predicted).
Grades and Achievements
Kat achieved an A in Advanced English and went on to achieve a 2.1 degree in English with Journalism and Creative Writing from the University of Strathclyde.
Hobbies and Interests
My main hobby outside of work is creative writing, including short story writing, novel writing, and plays. I am also a comedy improv performer and took my first show to the Edinburgh Fringe last year. I am interested in both history and current events. Academically, I am fascinated by the history of dance in the twentieth century and how Scotland’s past theatres have shaped our approach to theatre today. We have some great theatres with interesting histories.
Ambitions
I am currently going through the publication process with my first novel – so my ambition is to publish it and have a fun book party! In future, I’d like to write more books and plays, as well as work in the theatre.
