Lachlan is a MSc Computer Science and Mathematics undergraduate at The Universit of St Andrews (1st average).
Grades and Achievements
Lachlan achieved AAAAA grades in his Highers and AAAA grades in his Advanced Highers (Chemistry, Maths, Mechanics and Physics). He was awarded the school Dux award.
Hobbies and Interests
My hobbies are mostly adrenaline sports. I love rock climbing and serve on the committee
for my university’s Mountaineering Society. When I am not climbing, I am usually skiing
(mostly on dry slopes unfortunately) or running. Currently I am learning to play the bass
guitar. I am developing an interest in reading. At the moment, I am making my way through
Wuthering Heights. I am also keen on exploring the Scottish highlands by fell running.
Ambitions
At some point I would love to pursue a career in education teaching maths or computer science. Next academic year, I hope to be elected as the president of the St Andrews Mountaineering Society.
